Ok, it's official ... I'm addicted to this! My poor fingers! LOL. I made this card for my daughter's third grade teacher, Heather, to go along with the end of the year "Thank you" gift basket we always give. I wanted to keep the outside very simple since it's the inside that's the wow factor.

  • Blue paper
  • Cuttlebug and plate (can't remember the design name, sorry)
  • Prismacolor pencil - #PC905 Aquamarine

Dragon Thank You Card

Hello all! Happy Wednesday! I made this thank you card for a dear friend of mine who's very much into the Asian EVERYTHING! I took several millions of pictures of this card from all sorts of angles but I just couldn't get the coolness to really come out. First off, the background card is this very pretty pale fawn parchment (that totally looks white) and, secondly, the red that's the dragon is actually this really cool crayon treatment that I read about yesterday and just HAD to try! Oh, the tag that's brown is actually white paper that I colored by hand as well.

Materials Used:
  • Dark Red Cardstock
  • Parchment Paper
  • Black Cardstock
  • White Cardstock
  • Asian doodad that I had from a candle
  • Cricut Cartridge - Pagoda
  • Stampendous Clear Stamps - Flower Chat (Thank you)
  • Colorbox Ink Black (stamped very lightly, I wanted that aged effect)
  • Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalking Ink - Amaretto, Mocha Mama, and Midnight Confession
  • Crayons in reds and oranges

Thank You Card with Teacher's Quote

I was going through this damask phase when I designed this card for my daughter's second grade teacher at the end of the year. It's SO pretty! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors! It's a little hard to see in the picture, but I shadowed the quote with a lime green version of it as well. It looks really cool in person.

Materials Used:
  • White Cardstock
  • Damask print (I made this pattern using a clip art that I found)
  • Flourescent Green Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Lime green glitter (for thank you)
  • Teacher quote
  • Cricut cartridge (for thank you, but for the life of me, I can't remember which one I used! If anyone recognizes it, please let me know and I'll update this post).

Mod Podge Thank You Card

Hello all. I saw a similar card on Split Coast Stampers that was for a baby and liked it so much that I adapted my own version into a thank you card for a new friend of mine. The background paper is torn bits of paper with the edges chalked and then laid down and covered in modge podge. The effect is even MORE stunning in person than the photo can ever do it justice. Just a warning, the modge podge will add a considerable thickness to it so it will end up feeling more like handmade paper then the normal 20 lb weight, so, if you're going to mail this card, be sure to double check the weight. :P

Materials Used:
  • Brown Cardstock
  • ProvoCraft - The Slab II paper pack (for the pink)
  • White Cardstock
  • Stampendous Clear Stamps - Flower Chat (Thank you)
  • Hampton Art {foot-longs} Clear stamps - Cupcakes (#SC0248)
  • Creative Memories Sampler pack (background for cupcake tag)
  • Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalking Ink - Amaretto, Mocha Mama
  • Mod Podge
  • Brown Ribbon
  • Colorbox Ink Black
  • Stampin' Up! Embossing Powder - Chameleon
  • Crayola Coloring Pencils
  • Artists chalk pastels

  • Dreamweaver Stencils Paste - White

Thank You Card

I made this card for my daughter's current teacher. She was nice enough to send all the kids in her class a postcard before school started welcoming them into the third grade and so, I thought I would make her a thank you card to show how much she loved it (she still has it in a place of honor in her room). LOL. So cute!

Materials Used:
  • White Cardstock
  • Southworth Textured Weave Paper - Moss
  • Stampendous - Flower Chat
  • Colorbox Ink Black
  • Stampendous Stamp Stuff Embossing Powder - Marcasite
  • Fiskars Paper Edgers - Scallop
  • Crayola Crayons
  • Crayola Markers
