Flip Card - Baby Shower Invite Tester Card

The front before it's opened

The "flip" in action

The new panel exposed

Hi everyone! WOW DO I HAVE A MILLION NEW CARD IDEAS!!!! But, for now, I'm being considered by a client for her daughter's baby shower invitations (I had made all her wedding invitations as well). I designed this bear flip card in blue and green but those colors aren't cemented. I just liked how they looked so I went with it (plus, I had them left over from when I made my Christmas cards last year). It's blank at the moment and not 100% what I would like to do, but it's to give her an idea of what I have in mind. In my mind, the final product will have:
1. Where the blue paper is (the base) I want it to be embossed (think textured paper).
2. The bear will be embossed with a nice black finish.
3. The word "baby shower" will be embossed as well.

For right now, the materials I used are:
  • Stampin' Up cardstock in Baja Breeze and Pear Pizazz.
  • White cardstock
  • Martha Stewart Glitter - blue sapphire
  • Stamp - Bear and sentiment
  • Prismacolor pencil - Light Cerulean Blue #PC904
  • Blending stump
  • Black ink
  • adhesive

Paperbag Mini Album

Hi everyone. Here's my first ever mini album made from paper bags! To say that I'm hooked is an understatement! These were so easy to make and I could not believe how cute they came out! This one was made as a birthday gift for my daughter's teacher's birthday. Her first born had recently turned one so I guess you could say it was two gifts in one. I'm going to attach as many pictures as I can on this on because it really came out too cute! Behind each full page is a tag. Enjoy!

The spine and unfinished front cover

The front cover, finished

Inside the front cover, pocket w/ 2 tags

One of the pages ready for a picture

The tag that was directly behind it, you can see the flower
peeking out of the edge of the previous picture.

Another page with a corner pocket to hold a photo mat.

The three buttons are a smaller page, some of these held
interesting pictures (like this one), some held journaling
pages and others held small tags.

This small page held journaling.

This is my favorite of the whole album! Waterfall pages
that spell out B-A-B-Y (you can see a smaller page on the left
of the picture holding a tag).

The last full page in the album. Little corner pocket holding
a picture mat. Note the button ...

Note the button at the top ... this was peeking out of the edge
of the last page. This is one of the larger tags to be found in
 the album.

Back cover. Journaling and another pocket to hold more little
tags.

I hope you liked looking at it as much as I liked making it. :) Have a great day!

Hi everyone! These are pictures of baby shower centerpieces that I just got done making. They are going to be filled with flowers and placed on the tables and around the room. • Empty Gallon Can
  • Light blue paper
  • Close to my Heart Ink - #Z2145 Ponderosa Pine

Dragonflies Baby Registry Card

Hi all. Normally, I like to print the baby registry information on the inside of the card because the little inserts get lost too easily, but I just couldn't resist making these little guys for my sister. I've blacked out her information to protect her privacy, but you still get the idea.

Materials Used:

  • White Cardstock
  • Cricut Cartridge - Pagoda
  • Powder Puff Chalking Inks - Amaretto, Green Tea
  • Double-sided tape

Dragonflies Baby Shower Card

This is what I'm proposing to send to my sister as her Baby Shower invites. She's having another girl and her bedding is going to have all these sage and brown dragonflies on them so, I came up with this gem. It's very similar to the dragon one with the tag that's been chalked but, unlike the dragon card, I also chalked the edges pink. :P

Materials Used:
  • Cricut Cartridge - Pagoda
  • White cardstock
  • Stampendous Glitter - Sea Green
  • Southworth Textured Weave Paper - Moss
  • Stampendous Stamp Stuff Embossing Powder - Detail Black
  • Colorbox Ink - Black
  • Powder Puff Chalking Inks - Pink Cheeks, Mocha Mama and Amaretto
  • Hampton Art Clear Stamps - Oh Baby (for saying)
  • Carpet Tape

Swinging Monkey Baby Shower Invitation

I created this for a client who was having a monkey themed baby shower for her little boy. I love this stamp because it just captures youth so perfectly. Plus, how can you not smile looking at the joy on his face? This is an invitation inside a sleeve.
Materials Used:
  • Brown cardstock
  • K&Company, LLC paper - 12x12 KO Addison Stitched Strips Flat Paper (#643077 643604)
  • Bazzill Basics Paper - 12x12 Petty Cash
  • Stampendous Changito Rubber Stamp (wood mounted)
  • Stampendous Jewel Glitter - Sea Green
  • Carpet Tape
  • Stampendous Stamp Stuff Embossing Powder - Detail Black

Blue Baby Shower Invitation - Shaker Card and Sleeve

I created this for a client who fell in love with the pink baby shower invitation that I made, but also loved the shaker card idea. In the window, we used her favorite ultrasound photo.

Materials Used:
  • Brown cardstock
  • Blue Baby Bathtime paper
  • Carpet Tape
  • Sulyn Industries Inc. Glitter - #6625-10 Light Blue
  • Blue cardstock
  • Marvy Uchida Circle Punch - 2"
  • "You're Invited" Clear Label
  • Overhead transparency
  • Foam Tape
  • Marvy Uchida Square Punch - 2"
  • Ultrasound photo

Princess Baby Shower Thank You Cards

I created these thank you cards to match the princess themed baby shower invitations for my best friend. Once again, her husband created and designed the image and I turned it into this card.

Materials Used:
  • White Cardstock
  • Created Castle Picture
  • "Thank You" Brass Stencil
  • Dreamweaver Stencils Paste - White
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter - Tourmaline
  • Sharpie - Pink
  • Metal Palette Knife

Princess Baby Shower Invitation

My best friend was finally having herself a little girl! So, her artistic husband designed the picture and I turned it into an invitation. The glitter border was purposefully created in a way it would look like bricks and you're looking through a window at the castle outside.

Materials Used:
  • White Cardstock
  • Created Castle Picture
  • Carpet Tape
  • Pink-hued Iridescent glitter
  • Font: Lucida Calligraphy

Bee Themed Baby Shower Invitations

I made this card for my sister's baby shower. She was having a girl and wanted to do a non-pink shower in a bee theme. My favorite part of the card ... the wings! So shiny! The inside of the card was printed on moss paper.

Materials Used:
  • White Cardstock
  • Bee and flowers clip art (Microsoft)
  • Font: Champagne
  • Glue
  • Iridescent Glitter
  • Artist's Chalk - Blue
  • Q-tips (too apply to chalk)
  • Southworth Textured Wave Paper - Moss (for inside)

Rubber Ducky Baby Shower Invitation

I made these for a client who was throwing her daughter a baby shower. The shower's theme was rubber ducks. This was my client's third grandchild. The two blue ducks represent the two boys her daughter already had and the yellow ducky was for baby #3, whom they didn't know what they would be. It was a girl! :D

Materials Used:
  • White cardstock
  • Green gingham checked paper
  • Cricut Cartridge - Animal Kingdom (Cut the duck on shift in gradient sizes)
  • Font: Fairytales
  • Black Sharpie - Ultra-Thin for the eyes

Pink Baby Shower Invitation

I made this invitation for a friend's baby shower. Her colors were Tiffany Pink and Brown. It came out so cute! The pink part is a sleeve that is wrapped all the way around the invitation. And I used coordinating pink copy paper for the inside of the invitation.

Materials Used:
  • Brown cardstock
  • Pink Baby Bathtime Paper
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Clear "You're Invited" label
  • Carpet Tape
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter - Tourmaline
  • Marvy Uchida Circle Punch - 2"

Stitched Baby Buggy

This was a welcome baby card that I made for a friend of mine. I thought it was cute, but hubby took one look at it and asked, "What is it?". LOL. Men! :D

Materials Used:

  • Cream colored cardstock
  • Fiskars ShapeBoss Embossing Stencil Set - Creative Sampler, for the dots
  • Fiskars ShapeBoss Embossing Stencil Set - Letterin - Whimsical
